In Turkmenistan an eternal fire is coming from a massive crater, created by accident and called by locals the “Door to Hell.” In 1971 geologists accidentally punched into a massive underground natural gas cavern. This led to the ground collapsing, the entire drilling rig falling in. The cave was filled with Gas so they decided to Burn it.. well it’s burning still since 1971..
